Panamanian Sloths I have just added a short video compilation featuring the two species of Sloth to be found in Panama, occurring even in urban areas. There is also a short clip of the rare sight of a sloth on the ground, by night. Sloths come down from the trees once a week to perform their toilet activities, and I surprised one in the car headlights in Fort Sherman, a former U.S. military base at the Caribbean end of the Panama Canal.
